Did you know bees play an important role in pollinating buckwheat crops? In doing so, they collect nectar from buckwheat flowers which creates this dark, rich variation of liquid honey.
Enjoyers of this honey often love it for the distinct flavour, comparing its thicker texture and malt-like undertones to a rich molasses. It is less sweet than traditional wildflower honey, making it a lovely addition to baked goods and marinades, or drizzled over a bowl of ice cream.
Our honey is best stored at room temperature. Natural, unpasteurized honey will crystallize or harden slightly over time. This is a natural process that can be expected; simply place the jar in a warm bowl of water to reliquefy.
Ingredients: 100% pure, local Ontario honey.
