Creamed honey is just liquid honey in a different state. Over time, the natural sugar content of honey will cause it to crystallize as a way of natural preservation. This is a normal process that creates a hard, gritty texture. Creamed honey is made by taking honey that has already crystallized (called seed honey) and combining it with liquid honey in a special process that ensures a fine crystallization throughout. This creates an even, spreadable texture that will not return to its liquid state at room temperature.
We spent a lot of time carefully crafting our process to create a smooth, soft creamed honey every time. We suggest enjoying creamed honey as a jam replacement, on charcuterie boards, or as a natural sweetener in baking.
Our honey is best stored at room temperature. Warmer storage locations will soften the honey, while cooler storage causes it to firm up. Do not refrigerate.
